Shayan Rose Ben Sira
930° Shayan Rose Ben-Sira invites viewers to examine the deep and delicate connections she has forged between herself, her material and the natural world using fire, shape, color and texture. This new series of works was born out of Ben-Sira’s interest in joining different materials together and experimenting with touch – an exploration which led her to combine new natural materials with ceramics, glass and burnt wood. These hand-sculpted objects were all fired at 930 degrees Celsius.
