Elia Bloch

is an artist and graduate of the Department of Ceramic and Glass Design at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Her practice encompasses a wide range of glassmaking techniques, including glassblowing, casting, and sandblasting, often combined with found and ready-made materials.

A glass sculpture. An image wrapped in fabric, representing a moment of transition. A covered object leaning against a wall just before being hung, or immediately after being taken down. Heavy yet transparent, the glass holds within it a suspended state between appearance and disappearance, protection and exposure. It preserves the memory of an image that continues to exist even when the image itself remains unseen.
