Kibbutzim College of Education presents: Yael Shiryan
Yael’s Home In this installation I’ll be using iron rods and old bed sheets as raw materials for a home of my own making. The bed sheet, which belongs in the most private and safe part of the home, must now serve as its outermost layer and become exposed and vulnerable. The strong and hard iron rods assist in the construction of the home’s foundations and the joining of the bedsheets. The work touches on the relationship between interior and exterior spaces – both physical and emotional – as well as the relationship between hard and soft materials.
