Mayor's Greetings
After a decade of inception and establishment, Fresh Fair has become a well-loved and prominent name in the Israeli cultural scene; the fair is now an existing and hope-inspiring fact, an open, liberal and pluralistic space in an increasingly radicalized world.
More than any other year, Fresh Fair 2019 marks revitalization – with a new graphic language and logo, and with the expansion of the fair’s physical and thematic sphere. As in every year, our eyes are open and our ears are attuned, and we make it our priority to stay informed and to inform, to keep up with the ever-changing circumstances. We ascribe great importance to the ability to reinvent ourselves, from which we draw our raison d'etre and the power to have a positive influence on our surroundings.
Our new graphic language and logo are not just an image makeover, an aesthetic statement,
but rather attest to our profound examination of the fair’s vision,
as a platform that complements and promotes the art and design community in Israel.
The expansion of Fresh Fair’s boundaries is also part of this vision, carried out this year by turning the spotlight on satellite exhibitions that take place throughout Tel Aviv-Yafo alongside the main fair at Expo Tel Aviv. We have also made exciting changes and additions to the main fair, including the focus on 5 graduates of our Independent Artists’ Greenhouse,
who present solo exhibitions at this year's fair, and the introduction of time-based art to the fair’s program, showcasing performances, events, and performances under the title:
Fresh & Live!
As in any year, none of this would have been possible without the participation, involvement, and continued support of all those who believe in the value of our activities – who share our vision of investing time, money and public attention in the local cultural activity and in those who create art and design. We thank our partners, who have been by our side for years, and all the new friends who believe, support, encourage, and walk with us along this path.We do not take any of this for granted!
We also wish to express our gratitude and appreciation to you, our faithful visitors, who vote with their feet and come to the fair year after year. Keep on supporting local art and the creative community of this place, and insisting on its character as the home of us all.
